After her big Bollywood debut with Vikas Bahl's 'Goodbye' opposite Amitabh Bachchan and Neena Gupta, Rashmika will be seen in 'Mission Majnu' opposite Sidharth Malhotra. The film will mark her first romantic Bollywood film. While Sid will be seen playing a RAW agent, Rashmika Mandanna will be seen as a Muslim girl based in Pakistan. The release is planned for the OTT platform.
The Kannada superstar also has another 'Animal' Sandeep Reddy Vanga in her kitty. The film also stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol in lead roles.
Mission Majnu actress Rashmika Mandanna made her Kannada film debut with Kirik Party directed by Rishab Shetty who is now famous for his latest film Kantara. In an old interview clip that went viral recently, fans noticed Rashmika talking about the production house that cast her in her debut film. However, she didn't mention any names and instead used air quotes. Fans accused her of being 'ungrateful' and trolled her mercilessly.
In a recent interview, Rishab Shetty responded to Rashmika's comments and told Mashable India that he doesn't mind. He said they have launched several artistes and many directors and producers have given them an opportunity. "There's a long list of people like that. Let's say no more," he said.

In another interview with Gulte, Rishab apparently reacted to the same interview of Rashmika and said that he will choose his actors once he completes the script. Similarly, using air quotes, he added, "Aur mujhe 'iss' type ki actress, I don't like them. I prefer working with newcomers because they come without any hurdles."
Moreover, when Kirik Party completed six years recently, Rishab shared a throwback post on Instagram and tagged everyone except Rashmika.
Speaking to ETimes about films from the south doing well in the Hindi market, Rishab recently said, "Every industry goes through ups and downs. Maybe the audience is no longer divided by films like Bollywood, Sandalwood etc. People look at it as Indian cinema . Kantara is Kannada, regional, Indian cinema. The same goes for Hindi cinema. People cross the language barrier and watch content from all parts of India. Every film industry has contributed immensely to Indian cinema."
