Must know before visiting Andaman

1. Have 10,000-15,000 INR in cash before visiting the islands.

2. Keep an extra day in Port Blair on the way and on the way back

3. Make all your reservations in advance as prices go up at the last minute

4. Make sure you book the ferry 1.5-2 hours after landing.

5. Ferries are occasionally canceled due to bad weather, so keep that in mind when booking hotels. Please book the ferry first and then the hotel.

6. There are several government ferries and private Markuzz and Green Ocean ferries. They can be booked from the go2andaman website or at the booking desk at the ports.

7. Apart from BSNL, Airtel network is now available in Port Blair and Andaman and few places in Neil Island. It will be difficult to get a connection for any other mobile service.
